Interior text

Major Holt's voice came from Earth to the communicator in the supply rocketship. "Joe, I have very bad news. Central Intelligence has definite information that more than ten days ago enemies of our space exploration project completed at least one rocket capable of reaching the Space Platform's orbit with a payload that could be an atomic bomb. It is believed that more than one rocket was completed. They may try to blast the Platform before you reach it."

"Is there anything we can do?" Joe said dourly through hundreds of miles of space.

"What is there?" demanded the major bitterly. "Don't you realize that if you can't unload your cargo you can't get back to Earth?"
